Hi, I’m Anil!
I’m a full-time trader from India, and I’ve been trading since 2017. I started this blog to share my journey, experiences, and what I’ve learned about trading. My goal is to help others understand the markets and improve their trading skills.
Just to be clear, I’m not a licensed financial advisor or analyst. What I share here is not financial advice—it’s just my perspective and experiences. Trading can be risky, so always do your research and consult a professional if needed. The markets are unpredictable, even for the most experienced traders!
My Trading Journey ?
I placed my first trade in October 2017 and became consistently profitable a few years later—after plenty of mistakes and tough lessons. But let me start at the beginning.
In 2015, I dropped out of college because I wasn’t interested in the course I was studying. At the time, I didn’t have a clear plan for what to do next. A relative of mine, knowing I had some background in finance, asked me to evaluate a large company based on its financial statements. That task became my first step into the world of financial markets.
As I dug deeper, I learned about technical analysis, which led me to trading equities. By 2018, I had ventured into futures and options, testing my skills across various areas of the market. It’s been a wild journey with a lucky start, but over time, I’ve stayed on course and learned the art of trading, even when thrown into the deep end.
Not bad for a college drop-out, right? But my journey is far from over. Stick around, learn from my mistakes, and maybe pick up a few lessons from my experiences along the way!
My Trading Style
My trading focus is all about generating steady, long-term returns with as little risk as possible.
I’m not into get-rich-quick schemes. I take a slow, steady, and thoughtful approach to trading, always keeping the bigger picture in mind.
Most of my trading is systematic, meaning I follow simple, rules-based strategies. My main methods are momentum and trend-following systems, but I also use some short-term strategies that take advantage of price corrections.
I’m passionate about trading and always open to trying new approaches if they show promise. That said, I naturally prefer longer-term, trend-based systems.
I started as a day trader focusing on technical analysis, but it didn’t work out well for me. Over time, I shifted to trading stocks in India and commodities using point-and-figure and Renko chart systems. Now, I hold trades anywhere from overnight to a few weeks, and this style has been much more successful for me.
What I Share ?
I’m deeply passionate about trading and committed to being transparent, honest, and humble when it comes to the markets. Trading has genuinely changed my life, and I have the utmost respect for the craft.
Let’s get one thing straight—this is not a get-rich-quick website or a marketing gimmick. The content here is for serious, committed traders who want to master the art and science of trading.
That said, nothing on this site is financial advice. I’m not a financial advisor, nor do I pretend to be one. What I share here comes from my personal experience as a trader, and what’s worked for me might not work for you. Trading involves risk—big risk—and I’ve learned the hard way that the wrong decisions can cost a lot of money very quickly.
I focus on trading psychology and systematic trading concepts because these have been game-changers for me. I’ve learned from incredible mentors like Prashant Shah, Tom Hougaard, and Larry Hite by studying their books, and there’s one lesson they all agree on: trading is not a quick fix for financial problems. It takes hard work, patience, and resilience to succeed.
While trading has been rewarding and exciting for me, it hasn’t come without sacrifices, challenges, and plenty of stress. It’s a constant journey of learning and growth—a balance of wins and losses of financial markets.
Trading is more than a skill; it’s an art and a science that demands a lifetime of dedication. That’s why I’m obsessed with improving my trading psychology and becoming the best trader—and person—I can be.
I’m in this for the long haul, and I’m here to share my journey with you—the highs, the lows, what’s worked, and what hasn’t. I hope you find value in what I share and that it helps you on your trading journey. I want to turn this blog website into a recipe book full of simple methods to avoid the mistakes most traders make.
Thank you for being here. I’m excited to connect with the trading community and keep growing together.
Sincerely,
Anil
